Do'h, I forgot that +0000 = the difference between stated time and UTC !!
Therefore stated times are UTC
Double do'h !

1. Tickers can get delayed up to 15 minutes because that's what the update rate is.Clockmaker wrote:What I want to know is why is there such a huge delay in your graph to real time prices? when the price crashed to $10/BTC your graph took a long, long time to reflect it..wizzard0 wrote:My only concern with setting it up is "would anyone trust me?"Chucksta wrote: There's absolutely no reason why someone couldn't set that up. Just imagine the level of trading that would go on !
2. MtGox's ticker is really slow and unreliable nowadays as they're being heavily DDoS'ed.
2b. Since that price crash, I switched to bitcoincharts.com tickers, they are much more reliable (which is important for historical data), but they can be delayed even more, I can't control this, unfortunately.

Re: Difficulty has increased to 15071!
It's more like 370% now. And it will jump in a few hours. If current prices are maintained, this jump will push the NMC mining profitability well below the BTC one.

Re: Difficulty has increased to 15071!
..Not much of an adaptation!...this difficulty has essentially wiped out the NMC/BTC arbitrage...they are essentially identical to mine (at current exchange of ~0.063)...bitcoiners are going to pack up and go home...khal wrote:I guess the market is already adapting : NMC price is increasing :p
Re: Difficulty has increased to 15071!
The namecoin difficulty is rising faster than the bitcoin difficulty.DonMon wrote:..Not much of an adaptation!...this difficulty has essentially wiped out the NMC/BTC arbitrage...they are essentially identical to mine (at current exchange of ~0.063)...bitcoiners are going to pack up and go home...khal wrote:I guess the market is already adapting : NMC price is increasing :p
If the exchange rate tracks the difficulty ratio in the future, it makes best sense to mine namecoins because their value will rise relative to bitcoins.
Of course, namecoin could fail, bitcoin could fail, the sky might fall and the universe might end. Do your own research and make your own decisions.

3% increase (July the 1st), but this is dropping rapidly. It was 11% last night, just before I went to bed (10:30 UTC)....
