Pools!

Post by tysat »

So does anyone know of any (free) code out there used to setup a pool?

I would like to get one setup, so there are a few options out there to use. The only pool I know of so far is http://bitparking.com

I would assume he's talking about the software to track everyone, web interface, sweet gui, etc.

a second pool would be great, i'm happy with bitparking now but i would like to have a backup pool as well. competition is always an important factor to keep transaction costs low and stimulate the market, that leads to new developments and better service

I wouldn't be at all surprised if one or more of the BTC pools switches sides.

We're using a modified pushpoold at namebit.org. It just needed an id change on blkmond to notice the namecoin blockchain. Postgres behind it is very resource intensive, we need to get to some better discs as the website is sufferring with more shares writing. Pool is paying well, though, check it out if you're sick of solo mining.
