JSON standard for DNS Information

Post by indolering »

Hey everyone, I'm still trying to ... get back on my horse but the IETF is working on a JSON standard for DNS records which I thought some people might be interested in. It's being handled by the dnsoverhttp working group, you can find the mailing list here.

Hope everyone is well. :D
DNS is much more than a key->value datastore.

Not clear to me how this would be useful for us, seeing as Namecoin handles the equivalent of DNS zone files, not DNS messages, and this spec is for DNS messages. Also, your claim that it's "handled by the dnsoverhttp working group" appears to be Mostly Unsourced Bullshit (TM), seeing as the Internet-Draft claims to be by a different WG (and it says that dnsoverhttp is not even a WG at all).
