Newbie question

Post by Solomon »

I registered a .bit domain in my client.

It did a name_new transaction and then a name_firstupdate transaction some time later, and the expires in column now has a number.

Is that domain now owned by me to potentially start developing on?

If the name_firstupdate is confirmed (6 confirmations or more), then yes, you own it. You can double-click the name to set a new value for it.
