Dear friends. Please help me. I am a desperated dummie / newbie and feel like swimming through myriads of letters and numbers.
What I´ve done:
1) Install Namecoin Wallet on W8
2) Get Namecoins
3) Register a bit domain name (still pending)
4) Install and run Apache Webserver (XAMPP on Mavericks)
5) Test homepage up and running on 127.0.0.1 and internal network IP.
Question: What is the WAN (Internet) adress for my Apache html now ?
In other words: What do people now have to type in their browser adress fields to see my Apacke test homepage ?
Any help appreciated !
Help in configuring Apache for a Namecoin Domain
Re: Help in configuring Apache for a Namecoin Domain
Namecoin does not have any sort of proxy system built into it. You need to port-forward port 80 on your router to your internal IP and then you'll use your external IP (search Google for "what is my IP") in your Namecoin domain record. Once that is done, people who have .bit domains enabled will be able to see the site.
