memory usage

Post by sugarpuff »

Does namecoind have to use 300+MB system memory?

Is this a requirement or a bug?

I was unable to get nmcd running without a half-gig.
DNS is much more than a key->value datastore.

You can try to limit the maximum number of connections to limit memory usage :
In namecoin.conf :

Code: Select all

maxconnections=20
(instead of 125, when you are not behind a firewall)
NamecoinID: id/khal
GPG : 9CC5B92E965D69A9
NMC: N1KHAL5C1CRzy58NdJwp1tbLze3XrkFxx9
