I had made some changes that I wanted to test on testnet. It has been going very slowly as I only have a laptop and no one answered my call for help on the irc channel.
If you look at block 23013 and the ones I looked at before this, they are under 1k.
http://testnet.explorer.dot-bit.org/b/7 ... 8166603b64
http://testnet.explorer.dot-bit.org/b/c ... da8a531450
was mined with my change, that changed nbits to ntime in the coinbase, but that should not cause much if any size growth yet shows as 19079 bytes.
So, I then rebuild with no changes from the official tree... and got http://testnet.explorer.dot-bit.org/b/f ... 2eb51926c4 , at 17245 bytes.
It seems it was not my changes. However, what version are other people on the testnet mining with to get the nice small proper blocksize?
I saw something similar in i0coins where it's rate of memory usage growth exploded once it hit merged mining blocks.
Does anyone know of a block file dumper or explorer that shows more detail, or that I can run locally?
Any one else up to helping figured this out and put a few hashes onto testnet and maybe towards my builds so things like that that I should have been able to determine in half a day don't take four days?
testnet and some questions.
Re: testnet and some questions.
I can set a up an i3 for a couple of days if that helps.twobits wrote:I had made some changes that I wanted to test on testnet. It has been going very slowly as I only have a laptop and no one answered my call for help on the irc channel.
