Only indirectly as it will stabilize the network in general.

Wanted to ask, because this was the first thing I tried, could we get a list of addnodes? Good ones that are something current?

You can try these:

• 37.187.243.109
• 192.99.247.234

They are two servers I control, which run Namecoin on both mainnet and testnet. The number of accepted connections is restricted, though, to avoid overburdening them - so I'm not sure how hard it is to get connected.
