For those interested in testing I branched vinced's repo and changed merged mining block number to 19200:

https://github.com/nodemaster/namecoin

Perhaps someone with a good reputation is able to build binaries and sign them?

Thank you. I've announced the release by updating the first post of this thread.

The code is here: https://github.com/vinced/namecoin/tree/nc0.3.24.60

I have a different release number, but otherwise the code is identical to nodemaster's version.

Great work. Thank you very much for your effort vinced! Namecoin community is quite small now after the last surge. But those who believe in the idea of namecoin really value your work.

I have build Linux binaries. Could someone please verify them? I'd like to see them on the main page of the Wiki.

I built it on linux, and Windows.

See http://www.wuala.com/jbw9/pub/Bitcoin/n ... /win32.7z/ for the windows build.

However I get an error trying to compile on osx....

Great! Thank you very much indeed! Could you place twobits windows binary there as well? I tested it and as far as I can say (Windows n00b) it works as expected. Downloaded the blockchain and transfered some NMC. I checked the binary with virus total and there was only one complaint of an (to me) unknown virus scanner. Thus I guess it was a false positive.

Hi all,

I have been following this forum for month now.
Registered to ask the following question:
What port do I keep open for outgoing connections?
I just upgraded to the new windows client (32460) and have only 8 connections.
With the previous client I kept port 8334 open to get more than 8 connections.

EDIT:Getting more than 8 connections now, sorry for this post.
