Hello guys!

What do you think about the idea to build like a semantic database top of the Namecoin blockchain? Prime idea is for a smart contracts, to offer service similar like a online dictionary, where are human language word are translated to unique hashes. And every smart contract or even another application can ask from the service machine readable and standardized answer for different human language words. Result will be that for example if all smart contract will be connected with that service then they can understand each-other content.

Would be better to use here a Namecoin blockchain or could be better to make a newone?

What do you think the idea generally?

Thanks
A.

I guess I don't fully understand your use case. One question comes to mind: how many names will be created by such a use case if it gains widespread adoption? DNS is in the hundreds of millions; identities are in the billions. These are (barely) scalable.
