Namecoin Forum

The Namecoin Marketing and Development Fund http://dot-bit.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=473 offers a 1 BTC Bounty for a Namecoin logo.

The mission: Namecoin is a peer-to-peer generic name/value datastore system based on Bitcoin technology.
There is no slogan yet afaik.

It might resemble the bitcoin logo: https://bitcointalk.org/?topic=1756.0
Open to other suggestions, too.

It might use this symbol: ℕ http://dot-bit.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=483

Necessary for full bounty:
* vector format readable with Inkscape (.pdf, .eps, .svg)
* namecoin logo (maybe in a blue complementary to bitcoin?) plus writing
* me/the crowd linking it

Optional:
* a button

Not necessary:
* gold coin
* hearts
* cats

I definitely like them! Namecoin is getting a face!

* the N alone is better than the NC in the coin
* the straight N is interesting, too

need to sleep about it and think about it some more

The font of the text "namecoin" is awkward, particularily the "a".

Also I think silver might work well in a namecoin logo. Blue text on silver background ( or vice versa? ).
namecoin can perhaps be the silver to Bitcoin's gold... cool to bitcoin's heat... yin to bitcoin's yang...

Messed with the 'a' a little bit, this is the same font the main bitcoin graphics use.
Also tried some simple silver coloring.

Silver on blue background looks good ... the last one of all these is the best, imo.

Have you got a separate graphic file for just the silver N on blue disc part? Also any way to make the silver N 'shinier'?

Yeah, I can play around making the n shiner later today.
