One of our team members started working for Google this year. His work for the Namecoin project is completely independent from his day job. Out of respect for privacy of the developer in question, we will not comment further. Like many other projects such as Tor, Namecoin has always allowed anonymous or pseudonymous code contributions and does not require its contributors to sacrifice their privacy in order to assist the project. Indeed, no one knows what Vincent Durham's day job was, nor Satoshi Nakamoto's. All code and architecture decisions will continue to be made in the open.
