The survival of the Wikipedia Namecoin article will depend on 1 (one) thing only: multiple references from reliable, independent sources.

Currently, the references on the Wikipedia article are weak. So most likely the article will get deleted.

No big deal. Just keep watching for mentions of Namecoin in the news, and recreate the article when there are enough reliable, independent sources to support the wikipedia guidelines.
