Right Port To Forward?

Post by gigabytecoin »

Which is it? What port should I forward to my machine running namecoind.exe to get more than 8 default connections?

I am solo mining and have set rpcport=8336 and forwarded port 8336 and am mining through it successfully... but I am only seeing 8 connections still. Is there something else I should be doing or is the network simply small right now?

Port 8334 is the one you want to forward. Or build UPNP support in and use the '-upnp' command line switch.

That it was, thank you very much. Found 4 blocks with my 2ghps during the recent "rush" period :)
