As a start I would be happy with a simple list of resources. E.g. utilities and scripts.

Ah cool, I didn't know about that. So you are talking about a guide to the additional APIs and name scripts? I thought it was about the actual code and internal database structure of Namecoin Core - which seems to be not the subject of the Bitcoin guide.

Well, I think we should have a developer oriented site, with the developer guide as the primary resource. Eventually, I would love to have API documentation for Namecoin Core and NMControl and maybe iFrame a faucet. I've been talking about both of those for some time but I've never had the resources/time to make it happen. Had we gotten some funding ... sigh. But it seems like a developer's guide would be a self-fulfilling prophecy.
