Block Reward Halving Upcoming

Some time mid December the reward will drop from 50NMC to 25NMC. Rally!

Looking at the Bitcoin charts, it also looks like they might be turning "green" some time soon. I expect the alts to drop first, and then outperform Bitcoin in the end like they did with previous "bubbles". Together with the halving, it will, indeed, be very interesting to see what NMC does!

The price depends on demand and supply. Now let's go in detail.
It is true that the coins produced will be half so much but the available supply on the market still will grow with half the amount.
However as most sellers are miners from merged mining which do not hold their coins so their supply will be lower and they can bring less coins to the market.

Let us see what is with the demand.
The demand is less based on real need at the moment as the consumed monthly coins for name registrations are not really high but most people are holding or buying NMCs for speculative/investment reasons.
Investors will look probably more on usability of Namecoin and speculators on short time price tendencies.

In conclusion I think that the short time effect of halving will be mostly dependent how speculators react and will try to make fore-running and must not be the same like it was by Bitcoin where it was a huge media coverage.
If this short term effect remains out then we can calculate just with a slower long term effect on the price rise.
