Sure.

People have no problem paying for "protection".

Look at whois privacy for example.

That alone is worth an extra $3 to $30/year depending on who you talk to.

Next up, the ability to withstand seizure from ANY government on the planet (once the hashing power increases enough)...

Well that is worth considerably more than whois privacy imho.

I am sure ub.com or http://www.absolutepoker.com/ would have paid a few million USD per domain for such a service.

imho, once popularized, a .bit domain registration will be worth much, much more than a regular .com registration.
