darkreading article on SSL & PKI

Post by mightbemike »

Sarah Peters takes a humorous look at some serious issues, including the whole cert auth/PKI mess we have currently.

Wonder if she knows that Namecoin could provide a nice alternative to the whole digital certificate process. Different solution, but one that avoids trusting CAs to tell us who is on the server end of our interactions.

Indeed, problems with SSL/PKI are getting worse by a day. There is another good article at https://www.tbray.org/ongoing/When/201x ... t-business

I've left a comment there... NameCoin is the solution. We just need to accelerate and push forward, which I personally try to do.
