Re: Development of a 'What is Namecoin?' video.
This is great info. I think its best for the first video to ease the users into namecoin without overwhelming them with all the cool things it can do. I hope to get some good scripts going to explain the different facets of namecoin. That way if one video catches someones attention they will likely check out the rest to learn more.It would be ansolutely important to clear in the video, that Namecoin is a data container, which can not be only used for .BIT domains (great feature). There is Bitmessage support for Namecoin Nicknames, Namecoin OpenID, a new experimental and decentralized Browser called "SyncNet" based on Namecoin Technology and as far as i know onename.io which is using Namecoin Nicknames for Bitcoin Payments to Namecoin Nicknames and more projects.

I am EDTwhat time are you on GMT ?
its 7:12pm now for me
Good start! I will have to do more of my own research before I work on it.Namecoin ID is a decentralized identity system (DIS) with a user directory made of entries in a decentralized key-value store (the Namecoin blockchain).
Nobody owns or controls Namecoin and users are in complete control of their data. Namecoin ID is open source, has a public design, and is for all to take part.
ID allows you to reinvent yourself company image
Claim a unique, global username
Store your profile in the blockchain
Own your online identity & data
Unify your online presence with one username and profile
Allow anyone to easily look up your PGP public key

good call. Smart. Think of them as ads. TV ads don't get too technical, even on technical subjects. They bring people to a site with more tech info if people want it.
