Cryptonit.net supports dot-bit

Post by Cryptonit_B »

Hello everyone
I am Brandon from https://cryptonit.net (Cryptonit Solutions Ltd)
We were providing NMC exchange services for a long time (to BTC and FIAT as well)
Finally we are ready to make another contribution to Namecoin project, we configured for public use DNS server that is capable to resolve .bit names and any other TLDs as well.
bit-dns.cryptonit.net (IP: 91.213.8.35)

Here https://cryptonit.net/cryptonit-dotbit we have a tiny tutorial for our users how to start with botBit.

As a bonus for our users we now operate under http://cryptonit.bit domain name and accept emails in bit domain name.
Hope we will be an example for other exchangers to get closer to .bit opportunities.

There are some more innovations to come so support dotBit, but I would keep calm until it is completely tested.

That's great! I'd love to see more .bit domains around. BTW, please consider adding your TLS fingerprint to Namecoin, this would also provide a real bonus in security for .bit users!

Hi brandom !

Great new, and thanks for your support in namecoin.

I would like to make the same suggest as domob about the fingerprint :p

Do you know about "id/", nameID & openID things for namecoin (this is not well documented yet) ?

Very good news!
:) :) :)
Non seizable .bit domains could play a very important role by cryptocurrency exchangers.

okay, fingerprints is a good feature to add. Unfortunately I found it difficult to implement for now because of lack of documentation.
If there is a good tutorial we would willingly do it (to popularize and try in action)

btw, after this thread I noticed this that our bit-DNS started serving about 30-50 dns per second (it was mostly idle before). I am very glad people find it useful and use it to for resolving .bit domains.
I noticed trade volume increase at our NMC exchange section as well https://cryptonit.net/exchange/eur/nmc
thank you guys for the trust.

Oh nice ... Would be great if we would have a Good Logo or better said a complete corporate identity while watching Namecoin spreading around the world ...
