great! will this require a change to the block chain and thus an upgrade by x blocks? I would assume so.
An immediate upgrade is required by everybody.

This is not a change to the validation rules. It is a missing validation rule and that is why it has to be applied immediately.

If you don't upgrade an attacker can cause you to get on an invalid fork of the chain and can rewrite the past since the last checkpoint.

Ok thanks.
I am running this branch...
https://github.com/ArtForz/namecoin/com ... 3330a4adea
If you don't mind can you tell me how to get difference file from git, I am a windows developer and new to all of this stuff. I can manually patch the ArtForz version myself. (unless you have a multithreaded stay alive version?)

Thanks again.

I will probably add it into my multicoin branch tomorrow as well.

I'd say edit the first post and topic title... leave the rest of the posts intact for historical purposes.

Phelix, or an other moderator ? Could you please remove this thread or make it unsticky, please.

It's missleading because this is an old version of Namecoin, and snailbrain, buffalo-namecoiner and georgem and me indicated removal or at least unsticky this thread.

P.S.: Could you change "Dot-Bit-Wiki" on the left upper corner to "Namecoin Forum" or "Namecoin" as well on this way :) Would be great - can't see it anymore.

Thank you.
