Re: Logo Iteration
Ahh!
Okay, I NEED to get something to the vendor for Namecoin badges. I've pestered everyone for a yay/nay on the following logo but I haven't gotten any responses. sudoquai isn't returning my PM's (begging him for an update/preview/feedback) and Khal has been silent. I'm going to do one more round of feedback requests on IRC and on the dev
mailing list but I'm just going to go with it if there are no further objections.
Its meant to be a mockup of a Bitcoin badge:
Does anyone want me to bring the flanges back?[/quote]

Re: Logo Iteration
I haven't had any strong positive reactions so I'm worried I'm just imposing something that no-one else likes (although Jeremy said he liked it). Phelix and Foglight raised a concern about legibility when it's smaller and I had always planned on making a different version for smaller images and I planned on retaining the unicode ℕ for the typographic symbol.
Anyway, here is the version I made for smaller work:
And a larger image:
I eye-balled the proportions so I will need to go back and clean that up.
However, I also got this back from the badge-makers:
Thoughts?

Re: Logo Iteration
i like this. it retains much of the features of the original as far as i can tell.
personally, i prefer it with the legs of the N leveled to the bottom/top like in this last post. the offset on the badge sort of irks me but im sure i'd get used to it if people like it.

Re: Logo Iteration
I like your design indolering.
There is very little artwork for Namecoin paper wallets around, here is my contribution:
I used the 1B logo from your previous post. I also used the same color scheme bg #29abe2 and fg #0071bc from your last post.
The decorations is from http://www.vecteezy.com/ornaments/46026 ... ector-pack
Here is the source file made in InkScape and hosted on GitHub
I hope that the community will decide on what design should be used, and my vote is on the 1B design.

Because of the number of iterations I'm leaving it in SVG format
Here is a copy in PNG format, but I strongly recommend this SVG version. Open it in Firefox and use `command/control +` to zoom in and out.

Re: Logo Iteration
Anyone with web development skills? We could totally A/B test our way to the best logo.

Re: Logo Iteration
yet another one.

The N consists of two paths with one cloned from the other so in Inkscape it's easy to play with. Also note the node align/distribute feature of inkscape, very helpful for this kind of shape optimization.
