I think he is talking about my Namecoin patch, which is not a fresh / "lite" implementation but instead "just" a link to namecoind that allows to publish one's public key within the Namecoin blockchain for verification by others (basically speaking). But I nevertheless hope it is a useful feature!

BTW, this is OT here, but since the reddit contained also information about it: What do you all think about all those Invictus things? Will be interesting to see whether they can actually launch something useful with Keyhotee and whether it really has advantages over Namecoin; I doubt it, to be honest. For my taste, they do way too much hype and advertising and all that ... like the "only time until Christmas to pay for a 'founders' entry in the genesis block!" thing. Are they serious competition, like bytemaster always presumed they would be with all the "flaws" in Namecoin?

I was a little confused too, such a big update from open transaction it was a lot to take in still not sure I understand it all yet.

one comment on reddit asked that very question.

"Did I hear pending Namecoin support? Will this effectively turn Open Transactions into a lite namecoin wallet? "

Yes. In fact the Namecoin code is basically done but we haven't merged it back into the main branch. Coming soon."

I agree its still a little open to interpretation. I guess wait and see. ?

I read that, too, but I interpret it as a reference to my own Namecoin credentials implementation in OT. (Which is basically working and waiting for review from FT before being merged back.) Thus I think that my status description above (no real SPV client but just a particular "user" of namecoind) is the accurate one.
