I've seen that in http://dot-bit.org/tools/domainSearch.php
Remaining days appear to the expiration of a domain.

However, I have seen some domains that expire soon (the date showing in the url)

Is there any way to know exactly when a domain expires?

Namecoin-Qt and namecoind will tell you the blocks remaining for a name. (I think it's 36000 blocks after the name was last updated?) A block is approximately 10 minutes, depending on mining hashpower. Do the math and you'll get a decent approximation.
