This task is quite important, but nobody has volunteered to do it on a regular basis: to check the .bit-enabled DNS servers manually (maybe once or twice a month). If you'd like to help on this I can post the instructions here. What is your Windows version at the moment?

I think the currency feature is as important as the name feature. There is no incentive to mine or merge-mine Namecoin if NMCs have no monetary value (i.e. interchangeable with Bitcoin and fiat money).
