"could not sign name coin output" with Namecoin-Qt
Using Namecoin-Qt 0.3.64, I successfully updated a couple of my names once. However, now those names throw a "could not sign name coin output" error when I try to update them again. @snailbrain, do you have any idea what could be the issue, or how I could narrow down the issue? The wallet is not enc...

PDF of my Convergence for Namecoin Poster at Google
As I mentioned on the IRC a few days ago, I was invited to a poster session at Google and decided to do a poster on Convergence for Namecoin. The poster and discussion were mostly about the Convergence work that I've been doing, but I made sure to include some background on Namecoin in general. The ...

Re: Add support to ICANN/IANA domains into Convergence ?
So I'm a little unclear on what advantages this brings ... does it mean non ".bit" names can then use the self-signed TLS (nmcsec) biolizard has operational ... or something else also? Yes, my idea is to use nmcsec to also validate non .bit domains (using self-signed certs or not). Not sure if poss...

Re: "Enforce HTTPS" Field for Domains to Prevent SSL Strippi
I dislike the idea of assuming domains are only for webserving. Can this be made generic? I think this is what we just did by making it generally applicable for all TLS/SSL connects and not just HTTPS ... or maybe I'm misunderstanding the question? @biolizard ... so how would a ssh connection using...

Re: "Enforce HTTPS" Field for Domains to Prevent SSL Strippi
I dislike the idea of assuming domains are only for webserving. Can this be made generic? The fingerprint/sha1 field is generic; it probably wouldn't be hard for an implementation to use it for SSH or something similar. The enforce field is specific to protocols that use both TLS and cleartext, but...

Re: "Enforce HTTPS" Field for Domains to Prevent SSL Strippi
@khal: yep, looks good to me.
@moa: yeah, DNSSEC is a joke in my opinion (and in the opinion of a lot of security experts who know far more than I do). It's great to be able to participate in Namecoin and know that we're on the frontier of making the Internet a better, more secure place.

Re: "Enforce HTTPS" Field for Domains to Prevent SSL Strippi
It is an interesting feature that will have even more value in namecoin (if you use a proxy like Convergence for example), because the proxy can block the http request (locally) or redirect to https and no clear request has gone through internet at all. I would like to rename "fingerprint" to "sha1...

Re: Interacting with NMControl from Javascript?
Using Wireshark, I don't see any HTTP headers when NMControl talks to itself, whereas my Javascript code is sending HTTP headers. I assume this is related to the issue. Does NMControl not use HTTP requests? Is there a preferred way to speak this protocol in Javascript? Just found this question by c...

Re: Namecoin-Qt BETA with Namespace Registration
The -min flag on namecoind (0.3.64) doesn't appear to make it start minimized (tested on Windows 7). Is this expected behavior?

we could use peoples views here.. whenever khal mentions fees, there is silence lol doesn't matter who you are, or how right or wrong you are... need discussion.. I'll post my thoughts in the next week or two, right now I have some deadlines which need attention. But major props to khal for working...
