Re: Encryption Spec Requirements
I just don't understand why you want to put this into Namecoin value fields, why wouldn't you just link to your encrypted blob? Then you can have arbitrarily large encrypted payloads and we don't have to support a complex scheme directly within Namecoin software. I just don't see this as a major use...

Re: Forum Logo / Official Namecoin Logo
There is no official Namecoin logo yet. To put some pressure on this issue I made the forum logo my favorite one (before the logo link was broken, thanks to Cassini for reminding me of this). I created this logo myself a while ago based on various other logos. If you don't like it you are more than...

Re: Name Specification Working Group
So, I got a bunch of ACK's from core devs privately and I setup the working group: Internet Freedom Alliance.
After I make the pitch to the BitShares community I will basically start working on setting up a RFC standards system guided by the Namecoin Enhancement Proposal thread.

Re: Forum Moderation Policy (Rules)
Here's a couple more:
- Moderators don't directly moderate threads in which they are involved, ask another mod to weigh in (i.e. moderating your own drama causes more drama).
- No trading.

Re: REST API
Honestly, I don't see a whole lot of demand for a REST api, I wouldn't put too much effort into it. The REST API is potentially easier for NMControl to access, and can be accessed by untrusted users. So I'd say that's a decent amount of demand. I thought we were going to remove the username/passwor...

Name Specification Working Group
I was thinking of setting up a working group to harmonize record specifications between Namecoin and BitShares. BitShares largely just copied our spec originally but had some minor changes. I thought that we could work together. I was envisioning something fairly basic, a GitHub organization with an...

Re: Internationalizing the website
Any other input on this? I was thinking of having a language drop down menu but since we have control of the server we should be able to write redirects based on the browser's language preference and the TLD being used. I'm pretty sure privacy-aware browsers (like TorBrowser) don't send a language ...

Re: Internationalizing the website
Regional domains, like namecoin.co.uk and namecoin.ru are more likely to suffer legal action because they have to comply with local laws that may bar freedom of expression, having one or two backup domains is enought, .info, and .ch or .se for example. Sadly, both Namecoin.se and Namecoin.ch are ta...
