Re: NMC price and domain hoarding
um i agree with mightbemike, in a year time, the price should stabilize around 10$ just as now is stabilizing around 1 eur. (but it all depends on what btc is doing) Also there must be a renewal fee and it should be the same or lower than the registrar fee. This fee could go to development of the sy...

Re: Namecoin Torrent tracking
magnets it's the way to go if you want to store files on the blockchain, but seems redundant, as they still cannot shutdown even torrentz.eu , since it's a search engine. A more usefull use case would be to store bootstrap information for p2p networks. Any new coin, or any new bittorrent-like progra...

Re: Namespace idea - nsfw/
well, while the idea of a government issuing passports on the blockchain is quite far fetched, it could be possible for an website1, exchange or id verify service to link your data they already have to your nmc identity/address and then allow you to login in other exchange with nameid, then maybe yo...

Re: NamecoinFiles.org
Yes, unnecessary and bloats the blockchain. i mean , i understand you want to make a few bucks overcharging the people to upload data to namecoin, but really, you only need to store the magnet link, if you don't know what that is, is a URL handle that downloads data from bittorrent DHT. So your serv...

Re: Doge coin wants to get in on the domain name racket!
doge, next, bitshares, etc are pump & dump schemes, why? because they have an artificial market cap done by a few people controlling most of the coins, they were millions of coins "sold" on an auction IPO style (traded otc for prices close to DVC before going to exchanges) So there's some individual...

Re: Funding the libcoin rebase a bit

Re: URI Schemes
are we talking about RPC commands to namecontrol or url's that we can type on the browser and open namecontrol? (ok, i see nmc: is enough for a browser to read it as another handle, so go ahead.) i don't see problem with nmc for namecontrol and namecoin for the qt, just make any nmc:N12345 return na...

Re: id/ format
thanks, i reorganized my thoughts and posted on https://github.com/namecoin/nmcontrol/issues/35
i just hope it ends up being user friendly (memorable addresses) and interacts with namecoin without having to do much configuration...

Re: id/ format
no spaces should be allowed for registration, just like there are no spaces on urls and specially domain names.it should be just like email. now the litecoin guys are scratching their heads to use this feature: send coins to a short name. now the question is: when someone clicks nmc://domob what pro...
