Re: [3 BTC Bounty] TLS Support for .bit Domains
I am extending my 1 BTC bounty's expiration date until July 31, 2013. Is anyone working on this project?

Re: [2 BTC Bounty] TLS Support for .bit Domains
Maybe it would be easier to implement in NMControl: http://dot-bit.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=2941#p2941 NMControl would be cool. Whatever codebase the developer wants to use is fine with me, and since NMControl is actively maintained and NMCSocks isn't, NMControl is probably a better choice. If som...

Re: Rebase namecoin on Bitcoin 0.6 or libbitcoin
That would be awesome. My imagination is limited; what kinds of interesting things could Namecoin do with multisig?moa wrote:Okay, time to bring this up again now that bitcoin 0.7.0 has been released.
Will namecoin be implementing multi-sig and raw transaction features of bitcoin 0.7.0 ... for example?

[3 BTC Bounty] TLS Support for .bit Domains
NMCSocks has some partial support for TLS, but there are no binaries, and as far as I can tell no one was able to make it build. It's discontinued, so it's doubtful that that code will be fixed/finished. I am pledging a 1 BTC bounty to the first developer to implement the TLS feature of the .bit 2.0...

Round Robin for Tor/I2P .bit Domains?
There's currently a discussion on the Tor-Talk mailing list about doing round-robin load balancing on .onion domains (with the general consensus being that it's very difficult right now). It occurs to me that the 2.0 .bit spec can be used for Tor and I2P domains, but for some reason the spec only al...

Re: Rebase namecoin on Bitcoin 0.6 or libbitcoin
I like the idea of libbitcoin since it would make it easier to write specialized apps that handle Namecoin. Although the limited number of developers could be a concern.

Re: Is there a working implementation of the TLS feature?
Did you try the "fingerprint" feature of nmcsocks ? Is it working ? Here are some infos on it : https://github.com/itsnotlupus/nmcsocks/commit/5aa9da17b0bd777461bf67ddcc47e332218560dc https://github.com/itsnotlupus/nmcsocks/commit/fd10e3b44593bdab443048f0138ee222a4f0ae04 For the bounty, it may work...

Re: Is there a working implementation of the TLS feature?
nmcsocks has a first support of the TLS feature. But, the software is not maintained anymore by its creator (it is written in nodejs) Thanks for the reply. I really like nmcsocks, and I think it's unfortunate that it is no longer being maintained. If I were to offer a small BTC bounty (say between ...

Re: New identity namespace
Oh, indeed, i forgot the numbers, and there is no reasons to forbid them :p I have deliberately limited the characters allowed in a first step (except for the numbers). For example, allowing the @ character would allow email addresses and would confuse people (anybody can register the address of so...

Re: New identity namespace
This may be a stupid question (if so, I apologize in advance), but I see that the spec states that: name : max 255 characters, lowercase, a-z and space allowed, prefixed with "id/" Does this imply that the characters 0-9 cannot be part of a name? 0-9 are quite popular in online aliases, so I'm not s...
