Re: Decide on a general procura field

Just two more notes: - signer is short and more understandable for non English experts also - are you sure that we need this ? May be we can make a voting on bitcointalk.org to see if it is needed or not. If we implement such a feature then we should be sure it is needed and it should be cost effici...

That sounds good.
It is working only on your namecoind branch ?
Or it can be used on the newest namecoin-qt client from snailbrain also ?

Re: Decide on a general procura field

Interesting concept to have a master key for Namecoin domains. Did I understood correctly ?
How exactly should it work ?
--------
What name to give for it ? Doesn't matter to much for me since I have learned English as 6. language.

Re: GPG and OTR integration

Not sure I understand your proposal correctly, so sorry if my reply misses your points. Do you mean that verification should find the namecoin identity name automatically based on associated XMPP accounts? This seems like an interesting idea, although I wouldn't want to "rely" on it. How do you pre...

Re: GPG and OTR integration

Pidgin is my favorite communicator because its multiprotocol ability and availability on almost every operating system. 1. If I have somebody on the contact list with XMPP protocol, then his XMPP address is there. Wouldn't be best to check his XMPP address and find the Namecoin ID if exists ? (check...

Re: Namecoin client is not in the repository

Interesting aspects which I didn't know before. Then something different. Just a kind of documentation and history about Namecoin in the most popular Linux distributions which should popularize and remind about it. In the documentation would be download and install links for the client. This could b...

Re: Why separate namespaces/TLD's for Tor/I2P are a bad idea

Is there a practical advantage to having .bit be IP-only, as opposed to using .bitip for that? I suppose some users may be unaware that .bit could resolve to Onion or I2P addresses; is that what you're addressing? Exactly. The users should clearly know when they are clicking on a tor or i2p address...

Then good luck and a lot of gamecoins.
I hope your knowledge what you acquire by this experiment will flow back to the Namecoin system.

Re: Is Namecoin similar to a Tallystick?

Satoshi Nakamoto already mentioned about some additional possibilities with Bitcoin but he advised to use better an alternative blockchain for it. So created Vinced (nobody knows who is he but they are some parallels between Vinced and Satoshi) the Namecoin system.
