Re: Auto-pruning and transaction consolidation
How about a new kind of block? this superblock will happen every x blocks and will contain not transactions but merkle tree of all the previous blocks. ( block numbers and hashes) also will contain the hash of a balance sheet with all balances of all addresses.( the spendable tx output database, as ...

Re: Min/Max prices
Sorry for the outburst but if you read again, i explain that first you need to enforce the name fee registration fee (locked coin or destroyed coin). Discussion is secondary IMHO until you enforce it. AFAIK from the original bitcointalk thread this was not enforced by the network. (AKA blocks with l...

Re: Opensimulator + Firestormviewer + Namecoin = Internet 2.
i think storing all the info of a game so complex as second-life should be on a distributed network of their own, what i would like to see is , apart from the up-to-date namecoin, is a plug-in that allow universal login and in-game or in-app payments and trade. so that people do not need to register...

Re: Min/Max prices
i think all this discussion is irrelevant, the only thing that it's needed to enforce at network level is the 0.01 locked coin per name. According to khal , i could write a name_new with 0.00001 coins, this should be prevented. There's 1billion names available, in the far future the "locked coin" ca...

Re: Namecoin ATM
Of course NMC should be another option in current atms, i see some manufacturers, btcpoint and bitcoinatm for example have LTC and doges, but no nmc. It may be because the wallet have problems facing the internet, namely lack of anti-dos and various vulnerabilities that can cause it to crash. Just l...

Re: NMC price and domain hoarding
actually the bigger the fees the lower the $ value. Sadly nmc squaters don't have any incentive to buy nmc or help the project , as the higher the nmc value the higher the fees they pay to register names. I think the fees should not be raised; let it rise naturally when nmc price rise. For this a ca...

Re: NamecoinToBind fails to connect to namecoind
8336, that's the nmc rpc wallet port, that i assume it's on the same machine up and running.
make sure first that you set rpcpassword=<password> in the configuration file:
C:/Users/***edit***/AppData/Roaming/Namecoin/bitcoin.conf
not idea about the filename/path for linux thought.
