Re: [NMDF] Namecoin Bounty Cornucopia

I suggest we double the bounty for the SPV client from 0.5BTC to 1.0BTC. Any objections? FYI, EN and Stephen from OU are currently working on this, using BitcoinJ. Interesting. what is OU? If they want to claim the bounty they should post here. Well, right now they haven't yet earned the bounty, so...

Re: Segregated Name Values

Very interesting idea. But there still need to be incentives in place for miners to actually distribute the value data. The only reason miners have to broadcast blocks bodies is so that others can verify them....

Re: Hardfork 2016 Value Size Limit

I'm all in for an increase to 2kb. people are paying money to store a tiny amount of info on his/her domain, the least we can do is allow to store the whole set of data in one step, linking many names to store a tiny bit of data is redundant and causes overhead and maintenance problems. Well, I wou...

Re: Module Request: Keep a Namespace in Sync

what I read: :D Maybe domob's suggestion we discussed a while ago might be helpful to acomplish this. Yeah, thanks for reminding me. It might help but I think it should be possible to accomplish this cleanly outside the lean and mean core client. I thought of parsing incoming blocks - do you think t...

Hardfork 2016 Value Size Limit

Currently the limit of the value size for name_update is 520 bytes. This is a bit tight for even a bunch of hashes and links. It can be worked around by spanning multiple names using "import" or similar. For simple use cases this might become a bit of a hassle, though. With the workaround it can blo...

Re: nameGUI - an RPC frontend GUI

Another update to v0.3.3

If somebody could test and post an offer for id/curie or id/dirac it would be nice.

Re: Hardfork Wishlist

Changing the value size is also certain to be controversial, as I am not convinced that it will be a net benefit (possibly bad for scalability, also possibly bad in terms of making harmful use cases easier). Again, I'd like to see more discussion, and more hard data, before making such a decision. ...

Re: Module Request: Keep a Namespace in Sync

Bitcoin Core has a nice notification API. See https://github.com/namecoin/namecoin-core/issues/33 for the discussion of adding name notifications. I'm not sure why this thread was even created, given that Phelix had already said in the GitHub discussion that the feature he just requested in this th...

Is there another one than this: https://wiki.namecoin.org/index.php?title=Identity ?
