Re: Forum blocking IP addresses
Is there a chance we can stop the current spamming in the wiki? Meanwhile it's several hundred new spam messages every day: http://dot-bit.org/mediawiki/index.php?title=Special:RecentChanges&limit=500 The spam contains too many irrelevant outgoing links. Google and most of the other search engines w...

Re: Wit's end with registering domains: can't reach them
I need to do more research this weekend as khal seems to have changed the settings of his DNS server (recursion doesn't work atm). Going to check all the other DNS server listed in the wiki, too. Regarding d/ghostwriterintl: You can't use the IP 67.222.130.14 because it is not a unique address, i.e. some other domains are on the same address. Re: Idea: VPN+ .bit proxy combination
But the other points for the combination of VPN and .bit proxy could be still interesting. Re. item 1, if I understand the Tsukuba project correctly, we first need at least one volunteer setting up a .bit-enabled VPN relay server, right? After that, the people at Tsukuba Univ. only need to advertis...

Re: Idea: Dot-Bit Android App based on AdblockPlus?
DNSMASQ !!! Anybody experienced in using dnsmasq? I use Android Terminal Emulator quite a lot (as part of my indispensable Emacs For Android; no rooting required), and learned that there is this powerful dnsmasq tool on every Android device. dnsmasq --help comes up with a list of 96 command line opt...

Re: Vircurex deposit problems
It seems that the cases are being solved at the moment and all the missing funds will appear on the accounts statements soon. As this type of delay already happened a few weeks ago, we should keep the comment of user stomatopod in mind: Be aware folks that Vircurex can sometimes disturb your trading...
