Re: [ANN] Namecoin v0.3.75
Will the binaries work on systems like Fedora which have crippled OpenSSL? How is that handled for your packages if you're not statically linking them? OpenSSL is a special case. My repo contains static openssl libs for the Fedora-based distributions which are used in building the *coin packages. B...

Re: [ANN] Namecoin v0.3.75
I can extract the binaries from the packages and sign them, if that's any help to you.biolizard89 wrote:@pmc if you're able to provide a signed plain Linux binary (not a package) that would be awesome.
I cannot produce statically linked binaries, though.

Re: [ANN] Namecoin v0.3.75
I've updated my linux builds at http://software.opensuse.org/download.html?project=home%3Ap_conrad%3Acoins&package=namecoin You may want to apply the following patch to the main repo. It's not serious AFAICS as the return value isn't really used, but OBS refuses to build without it. --- namecoin-nc0...

Re: Heart bleed
My linux packages for Debian/openSUSE/Ubuntu at http://software.opensuse.org/download.html?project=home%3Ap_conrad%3Acoins&package=namecoin use the system openssl libraries, i. e. as soon as your system libraries have been updated, namecoin is safe. Packages for CentOS/Fedora/RHEL use static openssl...

Re: Automated Build
Shell: indolering: yes, OpenSUSE have a package freeze policy on their main repo. Don't worry. The keyword here is "main repo". The namecoin package is in the "network" project, which is a development project. Meaning that getting updates in there will be just as quick and easy as getting it accept...

Yep, I'm sure.indolering wrote: That was fast! Are you sure you don't want to try submitting to any of the other repos? I promise I won't drag you into troubleshooting them :p

Re: Automated Build
And yes, I would really love to see that in openSUSE. I will see if I can't round up anyone else to get things going. I'll see what I can do. Good news: my package has been accepted in the "network" project on openSUSE (that's where the bitcoin package lives, too): https://build.opensuse.org/packag...

Re: Upstream Package/Repo Mainainer
This should be a fairly simple task as PMC is doing all of the backend work to make sure things are working. Well, not "all". The debian/ubuntu stuff on OBS creates debian/ubuntu packages from what is not a proper debian/ubuntu source package. The difference is mostly how patches and additional sou...
