Re: 0 confirmation- what do i do?
1) Make a note of the current "Balance" of your wallet. 2) Open the Console inside the Debug Window. If I remember correctly it is in the Help menu: Help > Debug Window > Console 3) Enter getinfo One of the output lines start with "balance". It should contain the same amount as was shown in step (1)...

Re: Donations/Fees to get on Exchange List
Namecoin is back at ShapeShift.
There is an "ooooo" sign beneath "Liquidity", though. What does this mean?

Re: 0 confirmation- what do i do?
A few hints: (1) What is the Namecoin client version? (should be something like 0.xx.xx) (you provided us with the Qt library version) (2) Which operating system and version? (3) Start the Namecoin client again and wait at least 3 hours. At the moment it is pretty common that a transaction gets refu...

Re: Confusing Downloads section
Before I could use that Python GUI to connect to a Namecoin server on Win or Lin, but now with these existing options (Qt or Core) that doesn't seem possible Both Qt and Core still contain an RPC server, i.e. you can use that Python GUI just like you did before. If you've already tried and run into...

Re: Concerns about removing BDB lock limit
I'm trying to figure out the consequences of a few edge scenarios that may occur in the future. The Great Aggregator of August 2014 is the one that immediately springs to mind. ATM I can't remember if the blocks hit the BDB lock limit or not. The only technical detail I can remember is that the old ...

Re: Issues with Namecoin 3.8.0 - Not creating files
As I can only speak for OSX and to some extent for Linux, the following might be complete nonsense. However, it seems there is still some leftovers from old Namecoin database files on your harddisk. The effects you observe look precisely like those I got when I made some experiments with "recycling"...

Re: Issues with Namecoin 3.8.0 - Not creating files
A few questions: 1) Which operating system? 2) Where did you download this " Namecoin 3.8.0 " software from? It sounds as if you either compiled it yourself, or you downloaded it from an untrustworthy place. The official version from namecoin.org or namecoin.info is 0.3.80 or 0.3.81. 3) Could you po...

Re: Does NMControl support AAAA .bit queries ?
It seems there is a bug in NMControl as AAAA queries always lead to empty results. It does contain some code in pluginNamespaceDomain.py and namecoindns.py that looks for the "AAAA" type, though. This bug must have been around for quite some time, see https://github.com/namecoin/nmcontrol/issues/20 ...

Re: bitcoin-ruby:0.0.6 144.76.183.77:18334 broken on testnet
A few pieces of information on the block version field (nVersion) of Namecoin mainnet. Not sure if everything applies to the Testnet blocks accordingly. Bitcoin block version information: https://bitcoin.org/en/developer-reference#block-versions Namecoin's history of the block version is slightly di...

Re: Scratchpad / WIP Thread: Namecoin's Hashrate / Diversity
An update to the mining pools list: EclipseMC are about to cease operation completely, see https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=16385.msg14340574#msg14340574 I had been wondering if they had some issues with merged-mining as I haven't seen any NMC blocks from EMC for a few weeks. This still could...
