How many people know what GPG/PGP is?, to begin with...
Most likely only root authorities like institutions and developers (ex: Satoshi) will need to have (and maintain) a key onchain. Maybe journalists like Assange?.

Re: Hardfork 2016 Value Size Limit
Not having to depend on "import" for space so much would also simplify the implementation of Namecoin services. If more data is allowed on a name doesn't mean that people will use it to spam. Just look the namesquatters, they just post a bitmessage address. Services like Onename were not scalable, ...

Re: Hardfork 2016 Value Size Limit
I'm all in for an increase to 2kb. people are paying money to store a tiny amount of info on his/her domain, the least we can do is allow to store the whole set of data in one step, linking many names to store a tiny bit of data is redundant and causes overhead and maintenance problems. Currently th...

Re: Segregated Name Values
Both are right, looks like bitcoin will be improved step by step, very slowly. Eventually blocks will be composed of hashes, this is obvious, data will be on a DHT table (like bittorrent, but seeded by full nodes and users will be able to choose how many space they want to donate to the network.) an...

Re: Hardfork Wishlist
We can discuss 365 or 366 days with a week grace period after that to renew the domain like most domain registrars do. I think everyone is open to that. About increasing the size, i guess fees/kb could pay for that, but it's not so important. We really don't want people storing data onchain apart fr...
