Re: Solo Mining Namecoin No Shares Accepted!
scary if you ask me is that correct when solo mining? If you say yes then why does the GUIMiner show shares accepted when I do the same thing in the gui front end? What you see is normal. You see lots of 'accepted' with DeepBit because they are difficulty 1 shares that DeepBit is providing. GUIMine...

Don't use 8334 as the rpc port as that's the default binary protocol port. They'll be clashing.anty wrote:Code: Select all

Re: Namecoin <-> BTC Exchange
I'm trying to withdraw BTC, but when I click "Approve", nothing happens. I've used this previously and it worked fine. Note the part of the withdrawal page that says "Withdrawals of significant amounts may also be delayed for additional checking by the exchange". There were some significant withdra...

Re: Problem With Exchange
Good point, I didn't think of that. But luckily I just tried again and it worked just fine, so this thread can be deleted now. Not sure why it temporarily wasn't working properly. Note the part of the withdrawal page that says "Withdrawals of significant amounts may also be delayed for additional c...

What's your hash rate? It will take a day or two most likely before you see anything unless you have a decent rate.naypalm wrote: Is there something else that I am supposed to start in order to send work to my GPU's? Or is this normal and it will take a day or so before stumbling upon the 50NMC block.

Re: Coins are lost! Help, please
I have no idea how it would lose that address, sorry. I've not seen anything like it that didn't involve overwriting wallet.dat or something like that. Hopefully someone else can shed some light on the problem. You could try sending a trusted person your wallet.dat and they could investigate.

Re: Coins are lost! Help, please
What OS are you using? You should really paste the exact sequence of commands you used (from Linux you can run 'history' to get it). Have you done anything with the wallet.dat file manually?

Re: Namecoin <-> BTC Exchange
How can we be confident that the exchange is secure? You can't. You can only go on the trustworthiness of the operator and past experience with them. If you have specific questions I can address them. Not all of the funds are kept in the exchange wallet - they are kept in an encrypted offline walle...

Re: Is the dollar value of namecoins preemptively capped?
Namecoins also are much cheaper to renew - so cheap, that you're effectively buying the domain for 'life' as long as you remember to renew. That values them more than the price of 1 year of .com.
