Re: [masterpool.eu] New beta stage NMC Pool

Instead I'm working on direct payout. This means the pool will pay for a block right after it found him. Thus as a user you don't have to deal with confirmation stuff. We find a block, you get your NMCs! Should be that easy. This is what I do in my pool as well. You just need to make sure you have ...

Re: Namecoin <-> BTC Exchange

What are the NMC<=>BTC exchange policies regarding rollbacks etc, or other measures, in the event of (god forbid) volatile/discontinuous trading conditions? There won't be any rollbacks. The exchange, like the bitcoin network, should be irreversible in my opinion. I am interested in feedback on thi...

Re: A lot of coins are lost, it should be changed

At the time of this posting, the cost of registering a domain is around $10 USD. A few days ago it was over $20. At that price there's not much incentive for normal people to ditch ICANN and register a .bit domain instead. So my questions are: 1) Why was the original cost system introduced? 2) What...

Re: Namecoin 3.21.90 releases + Must update before block 24'

I'm not sure I understand the reason for one of the changes so I don't know whether to update the version I use. I worry that getting 50% of the network to update is going to be difficult and the end result is namecoin will effectively stop working. Why the reason to decrease network fees faster? Wa...

Not happy. It will just lead to massive squatting by miners.
I don't plan to update my pool until I see a description of the changes and why they're needed. Let's have some discussion.

But they did do one big transaction didn't they? The 'send' for 4200 coins is the only thing resulting in loss of money?

Re: bind9 configuration for sharing a zone with ICANN TLD

I'm curious why you'd want to point your namecoin domain name to the existing DNS? Why not code the IP address into the namecoin domain value? This way you're protected from someone manipulating the DNS entry.
