I tried doing namecoind getinfo command and I am not getting an error, but I am only getting a blinking line.

Edit: It gave me the same error after a while...

I am currently using GUIMineer and BTCguild.

How do you get started mining for namecoins? and what is a .bit address? Do you need one?

Where is the namecoin wallet?
