i mean convert my solo work(+-6000shares), no block found yet , into polled to complete the block faster and then do only polled mining.

Hi, i have a question(solo mining) , if i stop mining or close the namecoind.exe before finding a block , all my work goes to waste? if i reebot i have to start all over again ? I hope not .
