Re: Merged mining block number
Assuming tests show that things work ok, I think sooner rather than later is better to activate it. This stops the uncertainty that might occur over the change and put people off using namecoin. 24,000 seems reasonable. Yes, I agree. If we agree to do this (and i see more benefits doing it) then we...

Please feel free to correct anything in there. I'm no native speaker and my wife is egging me to do family stuff, thus I am in a hurry
I hope this helps a bit. I'll fledge this out as soon as I have the time.

Re: Merged mining block number
Please test and post feedback here. First of all: great work! Thank you for this code. I just mangled all pieces onto one test mashine and came up with the following configuration: Standard Phoenix Miner (phatk) || standard cpuminer -> stock github pushpoold -> merged-mine-proxy -> bitcoind && name...
Re: New Pool
And before anybody says about other pools being good, I think there are some good namecoin pools, im not disputing this, just trying to add more - make sure we dont have a >50% problem in the future, and, create some healthy competition :). You are more than welcome. Hopefully we'll never have a de...

Re: [masterpool.eu] 0% Fee - A big thank to all beta testers
Nodemaster, I'm liking the pool so far, but I'm wondering if you've any plans to expand the stats API to getting stats on our workers directly, say the stuff we've currently got to poll the dashboard for? Sure... find your API token and a link to your personal stats below the worker section in the ...

Re: Merged mining block number
- BTC Miner is trying to find a solution for BTC share and applies solution with some minor (and fast) modification to NMC share - If a solution is found it is send to the pool in question (or is the solution ALWAYS valid for both pools?) The solution will not be valid for both btc and nmc. A solut...

Re: Merged mining block number
Namecoin participants need to consider the possible long term systemic effects of merged mining on namecoin value also. Not only long term. As soon as mining gets merged we'll see a massive increase in hashrate. The namecoin pools I know are: * Bitparking * NameBit * MasterPool * BitChomp (is itrea...

Re: Merged mining block number
"I'll reply in a delay of 1 week" is his traditional answer. Do you feel better ? :p Errrm ... No! Is that really a big issue for the pool operators? I'm just guessing, so please correct me: - A BTC miners connects to a BTC pool requesting work - BTC Miner also connects to NMC pool requesting...

Re: Solo Mining Namecoin No Shares Accepted!
You can install your own pushpoold https://github.com/jgarzik/pushpool. That give you a personal mini pool. Pushpoold is used by many pools and gives you difficulty 1 shares by default. With this configuration you have the same behaviour like on "big" pools on your local namecoind.

Re: Merged mining block number
Sounds really interesting but I have no clue how it works. So it would be great to get some information on what is nessecary to do. Especially on pool operators side.
