I known Aaron might not have been the first to suggest the idea, however he is the most well known.

So in that sense it is a bit of a marketing gimmick but also a tip of the hat to the work he has done to promote technologies that enable freedom.

Just like the smallest unit in Bitcoin is named a Satoshi,

I suggest we name the smallest unit in Namecoin a Swartz.

(in honor of the internet activist Aaron Swartz who's ideas led to the initial implementation of Namecoin)

One thing: there are much more than 9000 domains registered, about 79000 Thanks, forgot a 0 there! updated. you could also mention that it has had Satoshi's input (maybe put that into the document?).. Good point. Added a slide on Namecoin history (in the appendix). Btw, while pulling some reference...

Made a little Namecoin presentation today in Google Docs. (Mainly as a way to familiarize myself with it, but also to use it to introduce others to Namecoin.)
